Don’t be fooled by the simple design of Google Flights, as it’s a powerful tool for searching both domestic and international flights. With Google Flights you can search for one-way, return, and even multi-trip tickets as well as specify which airlines you’d prefer to fly with. If you’re not a morning person and want an afternoon flight, this search engine provides you with the option to specify the time you’d like your flight to leave.

Depending on your budget, you can select from either economy, business, or first class. For those looking for cheap domestic flights in Australia, the option to set a price cap comes in handy as you can ensure that the results aren’t over the amount you’re willing to spend. Once you’ve completed the search, there’s a useful bit of information about each of the listed flights, such as the type of aircraft, whether WiFi is provided on the flight, how much hand luggage you are allowed, and so on. The service takes you step by step through the whole process until you’ve found and booked your perfect flights.

Another useful feature of Skyscanner is that the site allows you to search for ticket combinations that could be difficult to find elsewhere and tricky to sort out on your own. You can also see whether a unique combination of airlines and transfers will be able to save you any money.

  1. You want cheap- you get cheap. If you don’t mind being stuck at an airport for 16 hours, by all means go ahead but remember that these website will not assist you if you need to change or cancel your flights and yes- you do pay a booing fee (hidden somewhere in there).
